Packed with active safety features, Toyota Safety Sense™ (TSS) is designed to help protect you and your passengers, and comes standard on many new Toyotas. Scroll down to see TSS in action.
This integrated camera and radar system is designed to help reduce the likelihood of colliding with a preceding car or pedestrian.
Also available with Bicyclist Detection
This high-tech cruise control uses radar behind the Toyota badge plus a camera on the windshield designed to adjust your speed, helping you maintain a preset distance from the car in front of you.
Also available with Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
A camera on your windshield may help you avoid the consequences of unintended lane departure by alerting you when it senses that you’ve veered from your lane.
Also available with Steering Assist
A camera on your windshield aids nighttime driving by using a camera to detect headlights and taillights of preceding vehicles, and toggling accordingly between high and low beams.
When Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) is enabled and lane markers are visible, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) uses the lines on the road and preceding vehicles to help keep the vehicle centered and in its lane.
*Available on TSS 2.0, TSS 2.5 and TSS. 2.5+ equipped vehicles.
Using a forward-facing intelligent camera, Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to detect speed limit signs, stop signs, Do Not Enter signs and yield signs, and display them on the MID.*
*All vehicle actions must be driver-initiated and are not automated. Available on TSS 2.0, TSS 2.5 and TSS 2.5+ equipped vehicles.

The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/PD) can help mitigate or avoid impact with a vehicle or pedestrian in certain situations. Using a camera and radar, PCS w/PD provides both audio and visual alerts, and if you don't react, the system is designed to brake automatically.
Feature availability may vary by vehicle and/or vehicle trim.
During daylight conditions, the in-vehicle camera and a radar sensor or a laser sensor work together to help detect a bicyclist ahead and will prompt you to take action using audio and visual warnings if a collision is likely.

When detecting white or yellow lane markings, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA) is designed to issue an audio/visual warning if it detects an inadvertent lane departure. The system is also designed to provide gentle corrective steering if the driver does not take corrective action.
Feature availability may vary by vehicle and/or vehicle trim.
Road Edge Detection scans for the boundary between asphalt and the side of the road, such as grass, soil or a curb, and helps keep drivers in their desired lane. If the system determines that the driver is not taking corrective steering action, the Steering Assist function will initiate and provide gentle corrective steering to help keep your Toyota in the lane.
